Case Converter
Paste your text, pick a case, and the box updates in place. Six options, including the two that are genuinely fiddly to do by hand — Title Case and Sentence case.
Your original text is never overwritten
0 words · 0 characters
Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Urdu and Arabic have no upper or lower case, so that text passes through unchanged.
How to Use
- Paste or type your text into the box above.
- Click the case you want. The text in the box is replaced with the converted version.
- Click Copy result to put it on your clipboard.
- Click Clear to empty the box and start over.
Features
- UPPERCASE and lowercase — the two simple ones, applied instantly to any length of text.
- Title Case — capitalises the first letter of each word, and correctly handles words after quotes, brackets and dashes.
- Sentence case — capitalises only after a full stop, question mark, exclamation mark or line break.
- Capitalise Each Word — like Title Case but it leaves the rest of each word exactly as you typed it, so acronyms such as SEO or PDF survive.
- aLtErNaTiNg — for captions and memes.
- Accent-safe — works with accented and non-English letters, not just A–Z.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Title Case and Capitalise Each Word?
Title Case lowercases everything first, then capitalises each first letter — so “SEO AUDIT” becomes “Seo Audit”. Capitalise Each Word leaves the rest of each word untouched, so “SEO audit” stays “SEO Audit”. Use the second one when your text contains acronyms.
Does Title Case follow style guides like AP or Chicago?
No. Those styles keep short words such as “of”, “and” and “the” lowercase, and the rules differ between guides. This tool capitalises every word, so check small words yourself if you are following a specific style guide.
Will it break my accented characters or Urdu text?
No. The conversion uses Unicode-aware matching, so accented Latin letters convert correctly. Scripts without upper and lower case, such as Urdu or Arabic, are simply left as they are.
Can I undo a conversion?
Not with a button, but pressing Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z) in the text box usually restores the previous version, since it is a normal browser text field.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. Every conversion happens in your browser with JavaScript. The text is never uploaded, stored or logged.
